Walton Elementary School PAC's mission is to advocate for excellence in education, the safety and well being of our students, and for the effective and meaningful involvement of parents as partners. Every parent/guardian who has a child currently enrolled at Walton Elementary as a student is automatically a member of Walton PAC - we are all the PAC!

A Message from your Walton PAC Chair
It is hard to believe that we are already in the last week of April, which means the school year is almost 80% done! This year has been a unique one to say the least for everyone and everything, including the PAC. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and with support of the parent community, PAC has been able to continue operating albeit in a very diminished fashion compared to a normal year. That said, we have still been able to support the school's breakfast program, classroom enrichment needs, PE equipment purchases and will be supporting the Grade 5 graduation efforts before the year ends. It has been a good year, but now that we are coming towards the end, it is time to start planning for 2021-2022.
The PAC will continue to need volunteers to help plan and conduct its various functions, and hopefully have the opportunity to reintroduce opportunities we currently cannot - such as school community events, hot lunches, and so much more.
While there are a number of important functions within PAC, the most important ones in terms of governance and to be in compliance with provincial rules are the executive positions. This year, vacant positions will include the following:
If you are interested in either of the positions mentioned (President or Fundraising) please feel free to reach out to Michael at email@example.com to find out more information. Any interested parties will need to nominate themselves or be nominated by another member of the Walton parent community, and be elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is tentatively scheduled to take place on June 1st via Zoom (nominees do not need to be in attendance)
If you have been thinking about getting involved in PAC, are looking for new ways to contribute to the school community, would like to see change or help provide a new direction to the PAC's efforts, please do consider getting involved.
Latest News and Announcements
Due to the ongoing Covid 19 restrictions, after school activities will not be organized for fall and winter terms in 2020-2021. We will revisit the possibility of organizing again as early as spring term in April depending on the status of the pandemic.
Many of our after school activities programmers are still offering programming at their site or online. If you would like to reach out to them, email us firstname.lastname@example.org and we can connect you.
Please take care and be safe. We hope to connect with you again soon.
