Firefly Project (K-2) NEW
Based on the work of early years practitioner Vivian Paley, the Firefly Project provides an opportunity for the very young in our schools to communicate with each other through writing, drama and art. The project helps build a community of learners who listen to each other and learn to express themselves freely. Beyond the literary and art-based skills offered in this program, each child is provided a safe, supportive place to show the other students who they are: it gives each child a voice in the class and a space to have that voice heard. The art of writing stories and acting them out, allows each child to listen to one another and empathize with each other’s worlds. Presentation House Theatre (PHT) administrates the Firefly Project and, with help from ArtStarts, professional actors and visual artists facilitate it. |
Abacus (3-5) NEW

After School Activities
Step 4: Report Absences - It is the parents responsibility to remind their children(s) of their enrollment and participation in the after school program. On the day of the program, all registered children(s) must gather at the gym after the bell rings and report to the volunteer. Walton PAC, program instructors, and school don't have the capabilities to search school premises for any unaccounted children(s). If your child will be absent for any reason, please fill out our absence form by 2PM on the day of the program. Please fill out this form even if your child was not at school the day of the absence. This will ensure instructors do not waste class time determining where an absent child is before starting class.
|
Step 5 (optional): Volunteer - We are always seeking parent volunteers to take attendance for our programs. The volunteer time will be from 2:30 - 3PM. Without parent volunteers, we won't be able to offer and run the program successfully. Thank you for volunteering your time. We are seeking 2 parent volunteers each day.
